ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Licensed Plumber to join our growing service team in the Greater Boston area. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and install residential and commercial plumbing systems across various property types. You will take ownership of projects from start to finish while delivering exceptional technical expertise and professional customer service.
WHAT YOU'LL DO • Diagnose and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems. • Perform plumbing service calls and troubleshoot complex system problems. • Repair and replace faucets, toilets, valves, piping, drains, fixtures, and related plumbing components. • Install and replace water heaters and domestic hot-water equipment. • Service and install hydronic and domestic hot-water piping systems. • Perform plumbing work associated with HVAC equipment and mechanical systems. • Complete plumbing installations and renovation work efficiently. • Identify additional plumbing issues and clearly explain recommended solutions to customers. • Provide accurate information for repair and replacement estimates. • Perform all work according to Massachusetts plumbing codes and applicable local requirements. • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites at all times. • Document completed work, materials, photos, and customer recommendations using mobile technology. • Communicate effectively with customers, property managers, office staff, and fellow technicians. • Assist and mentor apprentices or junior technicians when required. • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working order. • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License or Master Plumber License. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Strong plumbing troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Experience with residential or commercial plumbing service. • Solid knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing codes. • Ability to work independently and complete jobs efficiently. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Ability to use mobile technology for job documentation, estimates, photos, and communication. • Ownership of basic hand tools required for plumbing work. • Availability for overtime, on-call rotation, and weekend work as required.
NICE TO HAVE • 5+ years of plumbing service experience. • Experience with water heaters, domestic hot-water systems, and hydronic heating. • Commercial plumbing experience. • Experience with multifamily and property-management accounts. • Experience supervising or training apprentices. • High school diploma or GED. • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. • Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
