ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Environmental Services Lead Housekeeper to help keep patient care areas, exam rooms, labs, nurses' stations, and common spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. In this working lead role, you'll support the team by assigning tasks, checking quality, training new associates, and helping maintain strong cleaning, disinfection, and infection-prevention standards. You'll also help ensure timely room turns and a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Assign tasks, inspect completed work, and help ensure team members follow work rules and procedures.
• Perform cleaning and disinfecting in exam rooms, patient care areas, labs, nurses' stations, equipment, and common areas.
• Support timely room turns to help patient flow and throughput.
• Train new EVS associates and provide day-to-day support, guidance, and motivation to the team.
• Help maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment in a neat, stocked, and organized condition.
• Remove waste and transport it to the proper disposal area, following regulated medical, recycling, solid, and hazardous waste procedures.
• Follow infection prevention practices, including cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper PPE use.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and help maintain safety, cleanliness, and patient experience standards.
• Oversee consumable supplies, usage data, and equipment repair needs as needed.
• Perform special assignments such as conference room setup, stairwell and elevator cleaning, and cubicle curtain hanging when needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 2+ years of experience in environmental services or housekeeping.
• Experience training new team members.
• Working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles.
• Ability to operate and properly maintain EVS tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
• Strong personal accountability and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to identify issues and follow through to resolution using appropriate resources.
• Knowledge of facility safety requirements.
• Ability to work around patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff with professionalism and discretion.
• Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• COVID vaccination required.
• Ability to complete pre-employment health requirements, including PPD testing, antibody bloodwork for measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, and hepatitis B, and a flu shot.

NICE TO HAVE
• Previous participation in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Experience with infection-prevention programs in a healthcare setting.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
