ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment running in a food manufacturing environment, working second shift (2 PM–10 PM). You'll be the person the floor counts on when conveyors stop, motors need attention, or pneumatic systems act up — and you'll take both equipment reliability and food safety seriously. If you're a self-starter who troubleshoots well and commits to continuous learning, this role is built for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment including conveyors, ovens, freezers, motors, belts, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Remove and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools; inspect parts for signs of wear.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories to support uninterrupted production.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with food industry Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality Assurance, Safe Practices, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) record-keeping requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 1+ year of technical experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with conveyors, motors, belts, pneumatic systems, and related industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, including accurate documentation.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality — second-shift reliability is essential.
• Commitment to learning new skills and mastering new competencies.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout a shift; lift up to approximately 50 lbs; and work occasionally on ladders or platforms to access overhead equipment.
• Must supply your own industrial-grade tools (tool list provided upon hire).
NICE TO HAVE
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification (company will re-certify upon hire).
• Forklift certification (company will re-certify upon hire).
