Overview: We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to serve as both a strategic partner and hands-on operator across all areas of human resources. This role is split approximately 50% strategic initiatives - talent development, workforce planning, and culture - and 50% operational execution - employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. You'll work closely with leadership to shape and execute HR strategy while owning the day-to-day functions that keep the organization running. This is a well-rounded generalist role with real influence and visibility across the business.
Responsibilities: • Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals. • Lead full-cycle talent acquisition including workforce planning, recruiting, and onboarding. • Design and manage performance management processes; support succession planning and leadership development. • Coach managers on leadership, feedback, and accountability. • Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives. • Identify training needs and implement targeted employee development programs. • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, hiring trends) to inform decisions. • Manage employee relations matters with consistency and legal compliance. • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation processes. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. • Manage HRIS systems for data accuracy and reporting integrity. • Support audits, documentation, and regulatory reporting. • Partner with IT and leadership on systems improvements and process efficiencies. • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and the full employee lifecycle.
Requirements: • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role. • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law. • Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics/reporting tools. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. • Proven ability to handle employee relations and influence leadership decisions. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. • Personable communicator who can coach managers and partner effectively with leadership. • Must be available on-site full-time.
Nice To Have: • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industries. • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
