Overview:
This role supports a large federal design-build construction program, overseeing project teams from pre-construction through closeout. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client relationships. This position offers long-term potential on a significant, multiple-awarded federal program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations across multiple concurrent design-build and bid-build federal construction projects, including pre-construction planning, scheduling, budgeting, and purchasing
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful and on-time project delivery
- Oversee project financials and profit/loss under firm-fixed price federal contracts, maintaining cost control and accountability
- Maintain positive client relationships and serve as a key point of contact with federal agency partners such as NAVFAC, USACE, WHS, and FBI
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience with design-build construction projects; 20 years of construction management experience accepted in lieu of a degree or certification
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred; other bachelor's degrees may be considered
- Preferred active certification or licensure: CCM, PMP, DBIA Designated Design-Build Professional, or a registered Professional Engineer or Architect designation
- US citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance; proficiency in project management tools including Procore, BlueBeam, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office suite
