Overview:
We're seeking a curious and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to help set up and prepare devices for client use. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys technology, likes following systems and processes, and is eager to learn how mobile platforms and communication systems work behind the scenes.
You’ll work through a documented setup process to configure various devices, connect to internal systems, and ensure devices are properly prepared for deployment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their technical career who enjoys problem-solving and improving processes.
Responsibilities:
- Follow a structured process to configure and prepare mobile devices for client use.
- Connect devices and phone numbers to internal systems and platforms.
- Assist with number transfers and ensure devices are fully operational.
- Verify that devices are correctly configured before deployment.
- Troubleshoot basic setup issues when they arise.
- Identify ways to improve setup workflows and efficiency.
- Interest in mobile technology, telecommunications systems, or IT support is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of experience in technical support, IT, device setup, or a similar technical environment preferred but not required
- Comfortable working with smartphones, apps, and web-based systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step processes.
- Curious mindset with a strong willingness to learn and improve.
- Reliable transportation to work on-site in downtown Birmingham, AL.
Schedule:
- Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with the potential to increase to up to 40 hours per week as responsibilities grow.
- This is an on-site role in Birmingham, AL.
