Overview: We're seeking a Security Systems Technician with 3+ years of experience installing and servicing security, fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems. This role involves full-cycle installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting in commercial and/or residential environments while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
Responsibilities: - Review work orders and prepare necessary tools, equipment, and materials for installations. - Survey job sites to evaluate system requirements and layout wiring and equipment plans. - Install, program, and calibrate security, fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems. - Run and pull low-voltage wiring in accordance with industry codes and regulations. - Test system components, connections, and signals to verify proper functionality. - Troubleshoot and resolve installation and performance issues. - Document installation details and maintain accurate service records. - Communicate with customers on-site to answer questions and address concerns professionally. - Follow all safety procedures and maintain confidentiality of security-related information.
Requirements: - 3+ years of hands-on experience installing security, fire alarm, CCTV, or access control systems. -Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, system programming, and troubleshooting. - Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. - Working knowledge of relevant codes and safety regulations. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Ability to work at heights and operate lifts when required. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
