Overview:
We’re seeking a Skilled Construction Laborer to support residential and commercial installations of flood panels/gates. This is hands-on construction work that requires accurate measuring, confident power tool use, and reliable day-to-day performance while working with a small crew.
Responsibilities:
- Load daily job materials (e.g., aluminum panels, hardware, tools, and occasional lumber) and prepare the truck/trailer for the day’s work.
- Work with a small crew to job sites and assist with installation of flood protection products on homes and commercial buildings.
- Measure accurately using a tape measure/ruler and set/install components using a level to ensure proper alignment and fit.
- Operate common construction tools and equipment such as screw guns, circular saws, hammer drills, cutoff/demo saws, and small demo hammers.
- Assist with install prep tasks that may include cutting material and organizing/handling product from a warehouse or staging location.
- Support basic troubleshooting in the field (fitment issues, alignment, hardware placement) and follow direction from the lead/foreman.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of construction experience (carpentry, general construction, remodeling, or similar).
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure/ruler and use a level consistently.
- Comfortable using power tools including circular saws and hammer drills (and similar job site tools).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to the team meeting location.
- Concrete experience is a plus, especially assisting with concrete footers and basic install-related concrete work.
