Overview: We’re seeking a Fiber Optic Installation Technician to support low-voltage fiber and telecom installation projects across multiple job sites. This role involves independent field work, traveling to different locations daily, and completing installations and service activations efficiently and safely. Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and low-voltage telecom cabling and equipment. - Perform signal testing, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and verify service activation. - Complete assigned work orders using dispatch schedules and routing systems. - Safely operate and maintain tools, ladders, and job-site equipment. Requirements: - At least 1-2 years of previous experience in construction or low-voltage wiring (fiber optic, Ethernet, or telephone lines). - Valid driver’s license and ownership of a reliable work vehicle capable of transporting a 28-ft ladder (pickup truck or large van). - Ownership of required fiber/telecom tools and equipment (per provided tool specifications). - Ability to work independently, travel between job sites, and adapt to varying field environments.
